Corrections and clarifications

When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and explain what has changed.

Report an error

Email press@genome-inform.ru with “Correction” in the subject line. Include the publication URL, the statement you believe is inaccurate and, if possible, a source that supports the correction.

How we make corrections

The newsroom reviews each report and checks the information against primary sources.
When an error is confirmed, the publication is corrected and marked with the update date and a correction note.
Substantive corrections to facts, figures, names, dates or eligibility conditions are recorded on the corrections page.
Typographical and stylistic changes that do not affect meaning may be made without a separate note.

Retractions and rights of reply are handled under the applicable Russian Mass Media Law. These editorial procedures do not limit statutory rights.

English-language corrections

If an error affects both language versions, both should be checked. A translation error should be identified as such; the original publication date should remain visible alongside the correction date.
